Abstract

The proliferation of distributed environments and remote computing has shown the urgent need for secure and dependable access control for computer networks. This paper proposes a novel security model and develops a framework to prevent unauthorized data access. The framework leverages the access control principles of the Bell-LaPadula model and fortifies data confidentiality using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm. The proposed model determines the structured access control according to the organization's roles and enforces it through a policy-based security mechanism. The experiment was performed on an emulated institutional network where the user privileges were dynamically managed. The findings show that the model provides robust protection against unauthorized access and guarantees secure data flow between networked systems.
